Almost Done!

I just finished the crib skirt!  Thanks to some helpful tips from other bloggers, it went very quick!  I just have a few more stitches on the bumper and the crib will be ready for Little Miss August!

Sign of Summer!

I am enjoying my summer break and the first signs of summer!  There is nothing like fresh cut flower in the house.  (Look at those beautiful roses - thank you Grandma Marlene!)

Amazing First Graders!

With huge thanks to an amazing group of first graders and talented parents we received a beautiful new quilt.  It tells the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  My students had a baby shower for me with a caterpillar cake and punch and told the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with their own illustrations. It was incredible!  Thank you first graders!!!
 

Bumper

Slowly, but steadily, I am continuing to work on the baby bedding.  I have almost completed the bumper.  Here is its trial run in the crib.  So far . . . so good!

Gifts!

I just finished making gifts for two of my student's moms who just had baby girls.  I think they turned out really cute!  I made little flowers out of ribbons and sewed them on onesies.  I am going to have to make one or two for our little girl too!

28 Weeks

Just had my 28 week appointment.  All is going well . . . gaining weight . . . healthy heartbeat . . . growing belly!  She is really starting to kick and move around a lot.  We have been enjoying all of the movement.  It is fun to be able to interact with her for the first time!
