Happy Heart Day!

Paige and Dad celebrating Valentine's Day!  She is such a doll in this new dress knit by her Great Grandma Marlene. (So much talent - thanks for sharing with us - we love the homemade dress!)  We had the bow and shirt left over from her Christmas dress so it was a perfect match.  We had a fun Valentine's day.  Paige went to bed early after a day of Mom's Connection at church and visiting Dad at lunch.  She is just starting to get really good at sitting up.  I will try to take her 6 month picture in a few days with her sitting all by herself!  Hard to believe she is almost half a year old!

The Park!

Paige got to enjoy the February sunshine and her first swing ride today!  She had so much fun sitting up watching all of the other kids at the park.  There was a slight protest when it was time to leave (the first of many I am sure).  Love this big smile - what a cutie!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

We went to the Chinese Gardens today to watch the lion and dragon dance in celebration of Chinese New Year.  What a beautiful day here in Portland!  Notice we are not wearing jackets and Miss P is even sporting the "no socks" look after they came off.  We had a nice walk around the gardens.  There were many plants starting to bloom.  Spring must be on the way . . . Yeah!

So Exciting!

Paige has been doing so much talking and I have been trying to capture her.  She loves to blow bubbles and listen to herself make noises.  Here is a small clip of her "screaming" with excitement!

First Bites!

Paige got her first taste of oatmeal today!  She amazed me by eating the whole serving 4 Tablespoons.  She was definitely ready for food!  She made quite the mess.  I think I might try her in her high chair tomorrow.  Please forgive the bouncy, not always focused camera.  It is hard to capture this fun moment and feed her at the same time.  Enjoy!!!

5 Months!

Helping to hold the sign!  Everything is new and interesting.  She loves to give everything a little taste to explore as well.   Paige is so interested in toys now.  It is so fun to watch her try new things.

Snowflakes!!!

Can't quite call it snow, but Paige did get to see her first snow flurries!  She and Rubi seemed to enjoy them for the brief moments they lasted.  Maybe we can get some real snow for Paige to sit in and hold in her hand before winter changes into spring.
