First Baby Shower!

A HUGE thank you to the staff at my school for a wonderful shower!  We enjoyed a beautifully decorated, delicious cake and punch.  Kyle and I feel so blessed to have received so many nice gifts including new clothes, shoes, bibs, Nike bags, infant care products, diaper caddy, feeding chair, gift cards and much more!

Quilt is Done!

I finished tying all of the knots to hold the quilt together last night.  I am pleased with the results and happy to have one of many projects complete!

Nesting!

I am not sure if this is part of "nesting" or not, but we have undertaken a bathroom update.  We decided between Mother's Day events to begin tearing up the bathroom.  Tonight, my fearless husband is trying to take out the toilet and get ready to install new flooring.  I am not sure what I would do without him!!!

23 Week Bump

I am finally getting around to posting a picture of my little bump.  Here is the bump after celebrating Easter with friends and family.  It seems to get bigger each day!  I went to the doctor this last week and everything continues to be going well and right on schedule.  Thank you for your continued prayers!

Progress!

After a few more evenings of stitching, I have finished the front of the quilt!  I picked up our new crib from a cute baby store in the area, but it is waiting assembly by someone much more talented than me.  I am hopeful he will be able to assemble it within the next week.  I put part of the crib and quilt in the room so you could see how the colors go together.  Enjoy the progress!

Baby Quilt

With a gray April Saturday and no distractions from my husband, I have made a great start on our baby's first quilt.  Hope you enjoy the start!















I am stitching the x's by hand around some of the rectangles.  May take a little while, but I like the personal touch!
